What is Physiotherapy?
Physiotherapy helps people recover from injury, illness or surgery, and manage pain or long-term conditions. Using techniques such as exercise, movement, manual therapy, and education, physiotherapists help restore movement, improve function, and support better health.
We work with you to understand your goals, guide your recovery, and help you stay active and independent.
Physiotherapy is a science-based healthcare profession focused on your wellbeing and active involvement in treatment.
The CSP is the UK’s professional body for physiotherapists (www.csp.org.uk).
Physiotherapists are regulated by the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC – www.hcpc-uk.org).

What can you expect?
On your first visit to the clinic the physiotherapist will thoroughly assess and physically examine you. This in conjunction with careful history taking will allow the physiotherapist to make a diagnosis of your complaint. Please note that you may be required to undress to be examined, therefore you may want to bring shorts/vest top with you to change into.
Once the diagnosis has been made a treatment plan will then be determined and discussed with you.
